Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen. I am an American-born Vietnamese entrepreneur living in Orange County in California. With my wonderful partner JP and my jolly father Henry. The majority of people have come across me through my Instagram platform, @annephung. I write about my experiences- the highs the lows and all in between. My parents brought my family to America in the year 1990 when I was just one-and-a half. It wouldn't be possible to share my story to you now had my parents not worked to the max and sacrifice. As a child, I knew that I could have a shot at a better future I strived to impress them and had tunnel vision when it came to the success. I had a set plan in my life that was to go to university, get a job get married buy an apartment and have children. This was my vision of what success would look like. But the reality of life changed my ideas. When I was in 2013, I started dreading going to my corporate job the money and status was not bringing me joyIt was like I was wasting my time in exchange for a salary but I knew that I had a destiny. As I navigated my way towards a new career path, I discovered I was destined to be an instructor. I loved exercise, I loved having fun and I loved helping people. In 2014 I started my small business and this year 2021 I will be celebrating my 7th year anniversary. It is rare to find Asian females working in the field. I strive to be a positive influencer within the business to offer the best coaching and guidance to help people to live a more healthy and happier them by creating a sustainable lifestyle cater to their individual goals and needs. Also, I'm dedicated to helping others become empowered so that they are able to achieve their goals, follow their passions and live the life you've always wanted to live. My career took off as I was enjoying the highest happiness of my life. However, my mother passed away at the same time that my career began to take off. Following an 8-year battle for a condition called Scleroderma, she's currently resting at Heaven. I will never forget her, and always remember her in my mind as well as my heart. Even if you can't see it initially, the universe is a way of providing us with what we truly require. The death of my mother affected me greatly and I think she was the one who gave me a second chance in life. It was the Tet/Lunar New Year Day when she died. She had her chance to embark on a new journey which gave me another chance to live living a happy and fulfilling life. What I'm experiencing at the age of 30 is an experience of awe and vitality. It feels like that I'm living my life, rather than just surviving. As I share the story of my life, it is with the intention that people will be able to understand my feelings and thoughts. To know that they're not the only ones. It is also a sign of true love. Therapy is necessary and is not abnormal. Finally that the health of your body is the most valuable thing you have. I pray that you live your life to the fullest and to die with no regrets, as death is the only thing promised to all of us during our lives.
